Old I know...but still.
I'd for sure complain to them. Also be sure to tell them to write you out a list of the parts used in the transmission. If they just insist on telling you they are premium don't cave in. Don't stop until you get that list. Then we can better help you with whats in it but yeah it does sound a little like slipping. Unless your TPS is bad causing it to jump a few hundred rpms. My truck would do that in cruise control back with the old transmission in OD. I changed out the TPS and it fixxed it. It didn't shift hard into OD or anything just the rpms would jump a few hundred then go back down. I have a feeling you have something wrong with them and they are probably not going to want to fix it for you so you will probably get the run around. I'd be persistant but it's super hard to tell when you don't know 100% if you have a problem or not.

LOL the resistor, that's perfect. I guess I understand it being a dog in OD, but compared to my stock transmission, there was a huge differance, and that's why I complain about it. But I wouldn't even care so much about the lack in power if it didn't do the dreadful skip into overdrive, and the gas pumping on bumps. Hopefully they will fix it. Then when I get the 3" lift on with the 33/12.5/17 all-terrain tires, the truck will drive smooth down the highway and I can just stop thinking about this truck so much lol. I'm pretty excited about this lift thing. I think it will still look cool. It will essentially look the same, except smaller in scale. Right now its a 5" lift with 35" tires. And I'm making it a 3" lift with 33" tires, should still look nice, and I'll get the smooth straight ride, the good performance of an all-terrain tire, and all the suspension components will be happy, which makes me happy

And don't forget. You got *****! Remember to bring em along when you take your truck to that shop. Don't be an a hole, just don't be a pushover. Be firm.
+1 on all the other stuff posted to keep in mind. Make that list, and don't hand it over to them. Talk nice and slow with the people who actually know about transmissions as opposed to the ***** at the front desk trying to sheist you.
Go over that list little by little as you discuss the tranny casually with the people there. Spend some time with the people who work there and ask lots of questions. Hang out a little bit as you learn what it is they are going to do to fix your problems. Just take your time. You don't need to give the shop a list of demands to get what you want. Just make your points clear and get each of them covered before you move on to the next one.
And to top it all off. Get that F***ING build sheet already! How long will you and everyone have to wait to find out what you payed $4000 for!?!
I still don't see what lowering it will do. A lifted truck is gonna drive different then stock no matter how high you have it. I bet you lower it and you still complain how bumpy and stuff it is.
He might, but at least the lift will be done right, as opposed to the unknown possibly cobbled together lift he has now.
Thats the primary benefit I see of it.

But no, I have many reasons why I am doing this 3" liftkit.
1.) All suspension components will be matching
2.) Losing the mud tires and getting all-terrain tires for a smooth ride
3.) 33" Tires will be perfect for 4.10 gearing, hence get more power back and better mpgs
4.) Make my truck a realistic option for work and long road trips
And while I still may be lowering it, the truck will still have a modest lift to it and have a big yet realistic 305 sized tires which should still look mean, but have a much better ride and not be taxing the drivetrain and suspension. This makes me one happy man lol. Plus whatever the truck is now, it should be even more powerful dropping the 35" weights.
Well, thought I'd throw this out there. 33"s with a 3" lift will still be pretty taxing on the drivetrain parts just not as bad as it is with 35"s. Not as good as stock either though. It still wont ride like stock either. If you want the best ride stock may be your best choice. Or you could go stock and not have a lift and still run 33"s fine on those wheels. IMO no lifted truck is going to ride like stock but you can probably get it to ride better than it sounds like now. Just don't expect a miracle. I think thats what you did with the transmission and thats why it's let you down.
Are you going to get a build sheet?

Definalty will be requesting a build sheet.
As for the lift, I think it will be infantly better. I mean the ride I have now is actually fine. It's just the loud tires, the bad allignment, and big tires that cause me troubles. You have to remember, I'm riding on 35" mud tires with 3" spacers in the front, with bad shocks, and stock suspension components. It's going to be a completely different ride. It's going to be lower to the ground, new and smooth treaded tires, perfect allignment, new shocks, and the gearing should be perfect for the 33s. I enjoy the ride now, so it should be even better once it ha new shocks and coil springs. I'm pretty pumped too that my thuren adjustable trackbar is finally going to become useful too. All I want is my steering wheel to be straight, and my tires to be smooth. Anything else is fine, and I'm already used to it anways, it can only get better with this new plan. This will address any of my gearing problems, my poor suspension issues, and my ride quality. I drive this truck constantly, it just seems silly lugging around giant loud tires with a fault suspension all day, it's going to kill my truck. With this, everything is going to be new and fresh, drive smooth, make it easier for passengers to get in and out of the truck, and doing some speeding now and then will be a little easier, I really cannot wait.

if your lift is built from just mostly spacers on top of the original 4x4 sport off road package from the factory, I'm wondering why you don't just pull the blocks and spacers, get some smaller tires and go from there. Truck would still look like this but with bigger tires.

Then you could replace your worn parts, do your alignment, and save a bit until you decide to do what is next. Either that or unload that wallet of yours on close to $1000 worth of stuff your truck already has straight from the factory being at least a 2 to 3 inches up front and at leasxt 3 to 4 inches in the rear when it comes to lift.
Here is a truck with tires 33" wth a 2 inch coil spring spacers up front.

There is a stock Ram 4x4

And this is what your truck would look like with stock lift and Pro Comp - 35 x 12.50 R17LT tires.

Any route yo choose will prbably end up being find so long as you don't rush into things. Some options will just cost more and seeing as how your truck doesn't need an all out lift for work or play or anything of that sort, you just need to keep things simple and focus on what's most important like preventing parts failure, setting your alignment, and so forth. Then you can aim for whatever makes you happy, just hopefully after you've made everything secure.

One thing I forgot to mention I'm not sure if the Skyjacker kit came with or not since I can't remember but you need new u bolts. You never want to reuse your old ones. I'm not sure if youwould be better off trying to get these through summit or a local offroad shop.
