Mine did the same thing. It was the IAC. $50 and 20 minutes to replace.

Hi,

Mine is doing the same thing. I was wondering if you ever solved the problem and if so, how so??? Also, I am running a K&N filter and I just read on another formum that replacing it with a paper filter, may fix the problem...hard to believe but I am going to try at least. Anyway, please let me know if you figured it out!

Thanks

Mine is a 95 but did the same thing. Dealer replaced the pcm for $400 and that fixed it. Unfortunately for me I also paid them $1000 in other repairs in search of the problem before the only thing left that could possibly be wrong was the pcm. Possibly check the plug wire routing. There is a tsb that is pretty specific about this.
