worth tradeing or not?
i have the chance tomorrow to trade my ram for a green 2wd 94 dakota. i already looked at it and heres the basics compared to my ram.
Dakota= its got only 122k, its extended cab "easyer for car seat", it has a slideing rear window, has the 318 magnum. its a small box,its 2wd. its green and fairly rust free and its a SLT model like the ram, its got new tires on the front, back ones are fair yet.
RAM= its got almost 160k, its reg cab small box, its basicly rust free, its 2wd, it also has the 318. its also an SLT model. its got new tires on the front, back ones are about 5/32's, its got a custom paint job.
do you think its worth it? i hate to see my truck go but i need something a lil easyer to put the carseat in. granted i cant haul as much but will it still have the quick responsiveniss like the ram?

RE: worth tradeing or not?
I liked my 1995 Dakota with the 5.2L. It was a good little truck. Traded it in for my Ram and I'll never regret it, despite the loan payments I'm still making.
Some things you should be aware of: The Dakota will weigh approximately 500 fewer pounds then the full size Ram does at the most, so not really a big gain there. Only 1 mpg gain in economy, according to government estimates, so not a big deal either. Plus the Dakota (especially with the ext. cab) will have just as long a wheel base, or very close, to that of a full size truck, with less width. So it will actually have a worse turning radius than your Ram.
The 2WD Dakotas are also VERY low to the ground, IMO. Way too much for my liking, but I guess thats a personal preference. The 4WD Dakotas are actually pretty low for a 4x4, which I never realized until after I bought my Ram.
