Get cab from -98.5 foward, and you can use 1500 cab as the difference between 1500/2500/3500 is on the frame and suspension. Only major difference on the body is manual vs automatic.

98 to 2001 1500, or up to 2002 2500 or 3500 cabs should bolt right on. So far as I know, weight rating doesn't matter, should be the same cab. There may be some minor differences, but, nothing insurmountable.
