if you have the right amount of freon in there, you need to check your sensors. First unplug the sensor on your accumulator, and jump out the connector. if the compressor kicks on and stays on well thats a good sign. Either have a leak and your loosing your freon, or the sensor is bad. Just replaced one on a friends truck(not a dodge). All the sensor does is let the system know there is enough freon in the system, if theres not the compressor wont kick on

You should have done it yourself. It's not that bad to do believe it or not. You could have saved yourself almost $700.

plus I don't have the tools I would need to decompress the AC system and then i would have to recharge it properly... plus while the dash was out, I had them test/check the heater core.
you are right, i could have pulled the dash out, but honestly... do I really want to?
