Default Front end clicking

Hi all, new to the forum, MOPAR for LIFE! Have a clicking sound from front left side, not sure exactly where. Clicking stays in time with speed, going slow...slow click, etc. Doesnt happen while turning, just straight line. Any thoughts?

my first guess would be u-joint, second guess would be your bearing, third guess is brake related.

My first guess would be a u-joint as well. When brakes act up, they usually squeak or something similar, usually not a click, but that could be a possibility as well I suppose.

U joints only have 150 miles on them and brakes including rotors done 2 weeks ago. I kinda thought maybebearing, cause left side shaft starting to leak.

All u-joints changed, as in both drive shaft and the front knuckle?

your bearings have no relation to your seals. they are seperate units. The bearings on the rams go commonly. Mine went at 104K, both of mine were REALLY bad. But mine sounded like a groaning sound...

my ranger used to go through u-joints on the rear drive shaft all the time, and I cold hear it ticking/clicking when it was time to replace it.

edit:
Oh, and my driverside seal is leaking also, that started around 107K... I am just going to keep it topped off and try a lucas oil additive to help slow the leak...

That tick that your talking about was the reason why I joined this forum, and that was almost two years ago I think! On mine it only does it when I'm on the brakes and it is consistent with the speed of the vehicle. I've replaced the axels seals, rotors, u-joints, pads,anti-rattle clips on the calipers, and lubricated the hell out of every moving thing under thereand lathered the stop squeek on the backs of the pads. Still ticks! Next is the calipers, drivers side has a small leak anyways. Let me know if you find out what it is, Its starting to really 'tick' me off!

mine has a tick sound also, it goes one tick with each revolution of the tire. i can only hear it when i am driving with the windows down, and with something on the side to reflect the sound back... maybe its something in the CAD unit... I don't really care if it ticks, I looked for the tick and cant trace it back to anything that would cause a safety issue or a breakdown weak spot. (also a new bearing on that side).
