Default Muffler swap

I was thinking is switching my Gibson muffler with a flowmaster super 44. I dont feel like buying a completely new system as this one is only a few months old and has no wear. Do you think that if i were to get the same size muffler in/ou that it will fit with the gibson tubing? 2.5in duel 2.25 out?

yes you can, flowmaster, magnaflow, etc. all make mufflers with multiple sized inlets and outlets. What you really need to watch for is how it comes in and out. Does it enter in the center, top, or bottom, and where does it exit? then order based on that.

A muffler shop will have extensions, expanders, reducers, and hangers if they are needed.

Anyone will fit.

I actually like the Vortex Classic muffler better than the Flowmaster.Less hum inside the cab area and it doesn't give you that popping sound thats notorious from Flowmasters. They are made with fiberglass inside to muffle the noise some.Still gives you a great sound and performance upgrade too.

Man there are way to many mufflers to choose from. If only straights were legal.

A cut out is a y joint in the exhaust system that allows you to route the exhaust through 2 different sets of pipes. You can do a stock setup and a performance setup (usually a dump right at the cut out) and with an electronic cutout, just flip a switch in the cab and change the exhaust sound.
