Anyone using EBC slotted, and dimpled rotors?

I was able to find some reviews on car forums, but nothing with trucks. I want to go with the dimpled so I don't get the cracked drilled rotor issues. Most people use hawk or HP pads, I was planning on going with those with stock blanks.

That 2nd review web link in the forum by SleepRM3 seems to have the ring of truth to it.
Those EBC rotors might be worth trying on a Ram.

After having my stock rotors turned on my 2nd Gen Ram once years ago to correct a slight pulsation vibration, I am now probably due for a replacement set and I have been feeling some slight vibration again confirming that considerable more uneven wear has occurred.
I already have a set of Hawk pads, like SleepRM3 was using in his racing trial.
Those EBC rotors might be worth trying on a Ram.

After today, I had to do a hard stop and I am convinced the brakes are the worst I have ever had on any car/truck. Well, actuall my old Dodge Rampage had bad brakes.
I have done research and found a nice 2 piston caliper for $650, but thats just too damn much. I only plan on having the truck for another 2 years or so. (I hope to get a 07 Hemi)
I had drilled/slotted rotors on one of my past cars. They will cut the life of your pads in half. Plus most shops won't resurface them. Finally, even the tiny brakes on a 2500lb. Miata were able to crack them.

I could careless if it wears my pads quicker, this truck stops like a loaded school bus towing another loaded school bus. (no short buses here).
Its best practice not to run ceramics with drilled, dimpled, or sloted rotors, but Hawk makes these in ferro-carbon. They are low in dust (so the rumor is) and are easier on the rotors. I drive about 10K a year, so, that would mean these pads would last almost 4yrs.

With stock rotors I seem to get between 15-20k out of the pads so if those really wear pads that fast I can't imagine them lasting you 40k miles. That being said I have no experience with them or the Hawk pads. I have a set of the Hawk Pads in the garage for the next brake change which will hopefully be a while off.
Your truck has better brakes supposedly than the 98's. you have dual piston and larger rotors/drums. But with brakes wearing that quickly you either brake hard or have been getting bad pads. Ceramic pads last a long time, but tend to eat rotors, I haven't tried these ferro-carbon yet, but read how they are easier on rotors.
Brakes normally last 30-40 or more with me with my old truck (95 F-150). I could get a lot more with my VW Golf (5spd helps too). But that is when i commuted 90 miles a day. (not in this gas hog).
My wifes pacifica is on its second set of pads and her car has 95K, I just changed the factory rears. The fronts were replaced 2yrs ago, when the car had 60K, but she has rear discs. That helps a lot. She commutes the same 90 miles a day, so the highway miles help although she hits that stop and go traffic all the time.
do you adjust your rear drums? I do about every oil change or so. Its a pain, but it helps a little. I am also going to replace the drums and get all new hardware with new shoes.
I was planning on painting the rear drums, to help slow/stop the rusting. Anyone have a type of paint? I used that high temp rustoleum stuff once on my ranger, but not sure if there is a better option.
