They will probably just make something up. Most shops dont do "build sheets". Usually only specialty builders do. Like APS or Dr. Evil and whatnot.

the mods that provide extra lubrication
either in park
or to the overdrive unit
have very little downside
just a tiny, tiny,
increase in fuel consumption
.... money well spent in my opinion ...
even though I am considered by some a 'MPG Maniac'

removing the check valve in the cooler line return hose
might also slightly increase the total flow from the trans to the cooler/heater in the radiator
... which would beneficially increase cooling in summer
and speed up warming the ATF to proper viscosity in winter

If this is true, I'm curious as to why everybody here gave me so much **** for not having a build sheet. I was hassled as if it were the norm to have one.

I believe they meant a build sheet for a stock unit with no upgrades(stock unit is just that stock <they didn't build it> theirs a build sheet already, in the Trans service manual or from Dodge)

...I would think a build sheet is standard for modded and/or upgraded components even if it is just part of the receipt to show the buyer what was done...part numbers and such of the upgraded/modded parts...IMO...But i have been wrong before.. just ask my wife..LOL

Ok, that's makes more sense. I'd still like to see what they are putting in this stock transmission. I still do not know how they are going to respond. They offered to swap it, but I do not want them trying to build me another heavy duty unit. There are just too many variables for them to make excuses for it not functioning the way I'd like it to. I'll have 285 tires and a stock transmission, so there will be very little wiggle room if something does go wrong. However, I don't know how they will respond to this. They may hate the idea of giving us any kind of money back because there will be a cost differential between a heavy unit and a stock unit.

That is the question..Are they rebuilding the unit to stock specs or just calling Dodge or whoever and having a stock unit delievered and just putting it in..?

I'm not exactly sure yet. I'm still not positive how things are going down. All I know is they called my lawyer, and accepted our request to have the unit swapped. My lawyer advised me that it would probably be wiser to have a stock unit replaced in case something does go wrong again. Obviously they've demonstrated some kind of inability or conscience effort to not build a heavy duty unit the first time around. It's not like I didn't try to have a heavy duty unit installed. I used to have a big bad lifted truck, but now my truck is stock, I don't even have a need for a heavy duty unit anymore. I sure as hell don't race with the truck anymore. I use it for towing, working, and daily driving now...

Yeah not sure a build sheet for a stock unit is normal although I wouldn't mind seeing one but I think it's a 100% normal for a performance unit. I wouldn't want a performance unit without a build sheet coming along with it.

I seriously doubt they are going to buy a unit from Chrysler. They are probably going to buy a junkyard unit and throw it in there. I doubt they will even open it up. The guy made a KILLING on you. He isnt going to just hand that money back over to you. He is still in the green. The only time a shop will think about giving money back is when they start to lose money on the job.
