Haha not a bad job expecially for what you paid I paid 7.87 for my open air cleaner setup from amazon.com because of a price mistake.

That's looks like a "HOT air from the engine compartment" intake.
However, excellent job with the install and nice support bracket.

Nah I was just wondering for the most part. I know some people arn't fans of it and I was waiting for you to mention something about sucking in hot air. In those threads you will find that the volume of air aparently is more important than the temperature. The reason I stand by mine is because my father runs one in his 74 corvette. If the open air cleaner had no advantage for that car, im sure people wouldn't use them back then either. The body is all fiberglass and holds in the heat like an oven. Just saying that if a FIPK kit from K&N or the one you installed gives you gain, then I don't see any reason why the open wouldnt do the same. Less bends for the air with the open, and with the your new intake, your still pulling in a good amount of "hot engine air" anyway. Just compairing apples to oranges I guess.
