My cousin's boyfriend, finacee... er whatever took his honda to a VIP somewhere around Standish, ME. They jerked him and my cousin around about a bunch of BS that they said was wrong with the car. I checked it out while i was up there for my other cousins wedding and the car was fine. Just had a timing issue, they were trying to sell him REAR cv axles! come on.

If there are any good mechanics or shops around Standish please speak up, my family there needs someone trustworthly to take their cars to.

So do you work at the same VIP this all happened at or a different one? I'm not quite familiar with VIP's. They don't have them around here. Are there a bunch of different ones or just a few?

Ive only seen them in Maine. The last time i was up there (two months ago) was the first time id ever heard of them. They dont have anything like that in SC. Closest thing i can think of would be midas or minike.

The truck itself hasn't really had too many problems. This forum just has naturally exploded everything, obviously due to some of my own antics.

Breaking it down though, the motor has always been strong. The transmission fried on me, the rear end lsd fell apart, and my header installation was a nightmare.

I took care of the lsd myself, and although the truck was out for three weeks, I got out of it for a grand total of $120.

The tranmission shop is self explanatory. And the headers were clearly out of the mechanics league.

Besides those three instances, this truck is in great shape and the motor runs very well. It may give some problems here and there, but it's special.

No response, and it will probably stay that way. It's going to take further action unfortunately.

VIP's are a NewEngland Brand. We have stores in Maine, New Hampshire, And Mass. I cannot say that any of the stores are good except my own. If you ever have a problem with a vip the words I want to speak to your district manager or give me the customer service number usually magic happens. Our store has been going through some changes as well as the rest of Ellsworth and that is a good thing. We have the best service record and customer service in the entire company now and I hope we continue on the same path. I know there was a time when I would NEVER have gone to a VIP before...to be honnest prolly wont deal with any others but my own LOL. not many other VIP stores do what we do either. We handle Transmission repair and replacement along in depth engine repair and replacement. We have techs who have worked for major automobile companies in our shop so we can handle ALMOST anything. Sorry if I am all glory hear but I take pride in my guys!
