Yes indeed, i already found the problem

Yesterday evening i made a little trip to get my heads, 150 Miles to the closest (and only) MoPar shop in Belgium. Got my new heads !!! I figured that i dind't want to do that trip to much so i bought all of the necessary parts to do a good service on the truck.
This shop is Horrible (in the best way), i think i left a puddle of drool somewhere in that shop ...

This guy has got at least 7 Hemi blocks and a dozen big blocks standing in his shop and all above the 500 Cui! He told me that he sells one per week! If you know that a Hemi sells about 20000$ over here, this guy must have a good business
Then i entered the workshop ... another puddle
Chargers, GTX's, barracuda's, .... all in perfect or near perfect condition! And all of them had a new motor, hemi or BB.

I refuse to go to that shop again, it's to beautifull! (luckely, he also sends the parts)

This weekend is the build weekend, wish me luck

Greetz,

Bigster

A small suggestion for you. Once you get the new heads on and torqued down do a quick compression check on the engine before you complete the rest of the work with the valve train. Both valves on each cylinder will be in the closed position and you should see good compression on all cylinders. If there was another cause for your problem beside the head gasket this will tell you. Good luck.

good luck

if you need step by step instruction manuals
there may be some here who could temporarily host
a .pdf file of the FSM manual
for your model year Ram

Alright, the engine is completely mounted.
I started her up yesterday and that didn't go that well... my injectors are bad, need to replace them. Once she was running I switched over to LPG so I could check if the engine runs nice and it does, but I have a ticking sound coming from the PS valve cover and when I sit behind the wheel I can feel a vibration that's in sync with that ticking noise. when I hit the gas it revs nice and freely, I did a very little test drive to see if she has power and she does (I even did a 180 without wanting to... )
I have to admit I'm getting discouraged from all of this...

It was late last night so I didn't check it further, thats for tomorrow.

Anybody has a suggestion? Lifters, rockers, ... I dunno.

Greetz,

Biggie
