Because it is evaporating on the block, radiator, intake or exhaust manifold, or even a hot hose.(only takes a pin hole)
And what is this thing you say is connected to the radiator hose? Are you talking about the heater hose that goes into the firewall or the hose that connects to the radiator?
i was talking about a hose that connects to the radiator. but nevermind that, i found out that the wetness on that hose was transmission oil . so im still in the quest for the lost coolant
... i have noticed that i refill it with coolant, after a couple drives, it disappers leaving only a small very small amount in the tank.
Mine does the same thing. It's a '96 with only 33k original miles. I've never figured out where it goes. Could be space aliens, I guess.
You've had a lot of good suggestions on what to look for, I'm not suggesting you ignore them. There could be something wrong, but I have no idea what it is.
I suppose I should check the specific gravity of my coolant, and see if it's getting diluted over time.
