i tried the hypertech max energy,superchip 3815,and the jet chip stage 2 and never had pinging with any.i have 180 stat,3923 plugs,and run 93 octane.

I had some pinging a while back. I think I may have got some bad fuel because it has went away. The plugs had spread open a little too much also, but I am not sure if that was because of the programmer or not. I did replace the plugs with the Autolite 3923's and it is doing pretty well for now, but it has only been about three weeks.

I just re-did the crank sensor mod last weekend. Havent driven it enough to feel the results. I found a way to get to the sensor that is much eaiser than hanging over the fender; You take off the inner plastic fender liner, and sit on the inside of the tire. You then remove the heat sheild and you can get to the sensor very eaisly.

I stay away from the home-brewed mods...the last one I did cost me a new TPS. I think I may look into getting a Superchips, though.

i want to do the crank censor mod too , but i have superchips also, and i dont want to change the air/fuel mixture too much , to where i get ping
