Default Favorite Engine Mod(s)?

I'm just curious to see what you guys think. My truck should be finished paint-wise and reassembled in the next few days, and I'm thinking about some things to do to the engine. I don't want to spend ridiculous amounts of money either, so hopefully none of them are too costly.

What I have in mind so far is the 14x3 Mopar Open Element Air Cleaner and doing the kegger mod. I'm going to at least clean and polish the throttlebody, but I'm not going to invest in a Fastman throttlebody just yet.

Anyway, any ideas?

i would highly invest in tthe fastman exsp for the 5.2. he does a awesome job grinding the metal and boring it out, and then put light weight butterflys on. awesome investment for throttle respone ,exp for the 5.2 guys that need it

Superchips could reset it but I'm sure it'd cost you an arm and a leg, and I'm not sure if the one for the 2004 Ram will work for yours, but I could be wrong. That's kinda the whole reasoning behind the VIN Locking is to keep people from buying it and then using it on multiple vehicles.

all you have to do is return the truck back to stock that it has been on. and you should be good to go. no need to have it reprogrammed.i know it would work on another hemi truck.but,if its a older one, i donnt know if it has the programming installed for your truck. and i am also pretty sure that you can go to the superchip site and update all the programming so it would support your truck.if you know the guy, have him let you try it out. the 3815 works on 98-08 dodge trucks.vin locked is just so you cannt use it on more than one vehicle at a time.

someone else chime in, if i am wrong.

Wow! The Superchip claims:

PERFORMANCE LEVELS

* Performance Tune:
* 5.7 Hemi Max 21.4 HP and 34.2 ft lbs torque
* 4.7 Max 21.9 HP and 19.4 ft lbs torque
* 5.9 Max 46.9 HP and 59.4 ft lbs torque
* 5.2 Max 18.7 HP and 30.2 ft lbs torque
* 3.9 Max 17.0 HP and 28.0 ft lbs torque
* Performance Tow: Improve tow ability
* 87 Octane: Improve drivability and reduce fuel expense

I wonder how realistic this is?

What did you guys pay for this?
