On a fair few of them, replacing the crank sensor solved the issue. Get one from the dealer. Yeah, they are more expensive, but, they actually WORK. The same can't be said for the aftermarket sensors.

Default Reverse problem solved

Thanks guys! The crank sensor fixed my reverse issue.
I have a 2000 ram 1500 4x4 sport with the 46re tranny. I replaced my TC and reverse stopped working. I read all kinds of threads before this one, but this seemed to to the closest to my symptoms

Thanks again
Eddy

Default 1982 Dodge d150 1bbl 6Cyl

Ok I may be posting this in the wrong area. 1982 Dodge d150 1bbl 6Cyl stalls in reverse and when I stop some of the time. Just trying to figure out the issue. It starts up when I turn the key and pump the gas pedal at the same time. Is it a vacuum leak on the carb or airfilter or a some cord. I replace the throttle cord already. Thank in advance for any help.

So my 2000 5.9l gas dodge ram stalls in reverse without it having to sit. Like when I go to back put even after being parked for an hour it'll stall. So it doesn't have to sit for extended periods of time and it has a vacuum leak when running too. I replaced my IAC, purge valves and lines and I still get the same issue. I just found that the rear rollover valve on the gas tank is melted shut so maybe that's it but I hear a lot of hissing still when I daily drive even after replacing most of the "air" parts on my engine. Any ideas?

Find and fix the vacuum leak first. I do believe the rollover valve is still available......
