Yeah, i know.

We got some snow on Saturday. I was getting really depresed that we wernt in the Ram Fu<king around in the snow. When we swapped the wires, it didnt even have a CEL anymore. I guess it re-set itself.

It has been running great. Better than before. I have been putting 93 Octane(recommended by a guy on Dodge Talk) and it has a lot of power!(given i have been driving in a 4cyl S10 for a week)


BOY, I am SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO glad it runs!!!!!!!!!!
Although i really wanted to tear down that 318!

Sorry for the delay, i just checked the minimum PSI of compression for the V8 engines. It says that the minimum compression is 100 PSI and there shouldn't be anymore than 40 PSI of variation between all of the cylinders. 150 PSI means that the engine is healthy. If the compression is unusually high then the combustion chambers are probably coated with carbon deposits.

I hope this is good info.

Bigster, I hear what you are saying and normally I won't argue with the book, but here's a real world example: My average compression was 180 psi except for my cracked #8 which was 140. When I got the heads off the engine, the CCs were all normal, not coked/carboned up at all. Maybe it was the differential pressure between #8 and the others, or maybe you can run 100-140 without the head crack, idk. All I know is the thing ran like it was having an epileptic seizure at idle.
