Thanks guys. Im running 93 right now but it is a mixture of 87. I did add octane booser though. Im running Exxon is basically the only thing up here besides, hess and lukeoil. Should i switch to one of those others? Im going to be throwing in the 180 stat soon .

This is my first programmer for a gasser. So I cant really give a compare, but I must say holy crap its better. I did get my from Hemifever, I talked to him already he said the 180 would work best and to wait until I have a fresh tank of 93.

I run a mix of 93 and 87 with the CPS sensor mod, AIT mod, 180 thermostat, and 3923's.

do you have a fastman 52mm tb yet? if not, should be next on your list.

couple of suggestions on the pinging... wrap your fuel rails so they dont get heat soaked, and a fuel cooler if you can put it in a spot where it's not a hazard but can still get airflow. Used the cooler to help on a couple of cars that were pinging while using aggressive timing programs and it worked awesome.

it takes a heck of a lot of octane booster to push 87 octane up to 93. You should be good to go after you run it just about bone dry and hit the the 93 again.

The Hypertech and Superchips are actually designed to run 91 as that's the best gas the California folk can hope for. You shouldn't ping on one of those tuners with 93. Heck, I ran one with a blown plenum on 93 octane and it wouldn't ping. After I fixed it, I could run 89 octane on the performance tune of my superchips and it wouldn't ping. You superchips and hypertech folk should try it, no sense overpaying for octane you ain't using.

The SCT is a whole different beast. Sean's pushing every last degree of advancement that 93 octane can safely run. Bad gas won't cut it.

try the NGK v power plugs for the SCT, you won't be disappointed.

Is it ok to run 93 with just the CPS mod? It is $1.85 up here, so i dont care about the price.
