ok guys so i read throu the whole thread and havent seen my problem yet.
i recently bought a 95 2500 and if i pull out the switch for parking lights they dont come on, but if i ush in on it a little like in between on and off they will come on. BUT when i go to put my headlights on they come right on but i have no parking lights at all.

i was told by someone it could be some sort or headlight control module?

not really sure what to do or how to go about this.

Any help??

No control module on the 95. You just need to replace your headlight switch.

ok, so i replaced the switch and still the same problem. i did not replace the pig tail part i just swapped a new switch in to see if that is the problem and nothing changed.

is there anything else that could be of a problem? any relays fuses i should double check?

i did notice that my guages are wired right in to the parking light wires, would that have any effect on my situation?

Is it still doing the exact same thing? That seems awfully strange. Was the switch new, or used?

I tried looking in my service manual, to see what the wiring diagram looked like, but, it appears that there are about 5 pages missing from the front lighting section...... this is the one I downloaded from here... You have DRL's by any chance?

yes everything stayed exactly the same... with a brand new switch

BUT after messing around with it i figured it out. it was actually the marker light fuse in the drivers side door jam. it blew but blew so perfectly to still make contact and for some reason only would transfer enought juice to the lights when the switch was half way in between off and parking or parking and headlights.

so i changed the fuse and they work perfect with the old switch. so that was my problem the whole time.

next order of buisiness it my cluster lights dont work and when i put on my four ways the just light up and stay lit. they dnt flash. so i need to get a manual on this vehicle and start diagnosing all these little problems.

thank you for the help thus far!

There are two flashers in the fuse block on the side of the dash, one is for your flashers. Other one is for turn signals. Sounds like one of yours is bad.

You can download the 95 service manual from the faq section here. (in the service manual thread.)

Hey Jasonw, how did you go about rerouting the headlights and how are you able to turn them on if it isn't through the switch? I already replaced my switch once and I don't have headlights again. I can flick the stick and have high beams, but I have to hold the stick. Parking lights work too. Just can't turn on my headlights. Thanks in advance!
