My truck has a plug hanging just above the bumper by the steering box-- is that for fogs?

Yeah, its crispy critters. My truck came pre-wired with it. After 8 years of sitting there, one of the connectors fell off, the wire was rusted and corroded out, and parts of it were brittle.

Make your own damn "harness" and get some real fog lights while you are at it. The factory ones are not fog lights.

They work great on my truck, so im keepin them. Im going to experiment with some H11, 55W bulbs to replace the 35Watt bulbs that are in it now.

But they aren't fog lights... Using different bulbs can start a fire by the way.

They are driving lights, and poor ones at that. They do absolutely nothing in the fog. Fog lights are yellow, specifically, selective yellow. They are designed to be used in foul weather, at speeds below 15 mph, with your headlights OFF.

No, I'm an Electricians Mate in the US Navy, and someone who knows far more about the electrical system in these trucks than you do. Good enough?

Stop trying to avoid language filters. They are there for a reason.

Enjoy your pathetic little driving lights. Maybe after your realize they are useless and were a waste of money, you will upgrade to a real set.
