Default rebuilding it myself

Ok.. I'm not a big transmission guy, I know a lot of stuff about cars, but never really done much transmission work, so I don't know what all is included in rebuild kits, and what they are talking about with this description:

'
THESE ARE COMPLETE KITS WHICH INCLUDES, MOLDED GASKETS, SEALS, CHECK *****, SPEEDO SEALS, ORINGS, CONVERTER BOLTS, RINGS,3 POINT WASHERS, OUTPUT RACE, ALL NECESSARY GASKETS AND ORINGS, OIL SEALS,FILTER, DIRECT CLUTCH FRICTION, FRICTION FRONT CLUTCH, CLUTCH FRICTION, ALL REQUIRED STEELS.
EACH KIT CONTAINS 100% AUTHENTIC MOPAR PARTS AND COMPONENTS RIGHT DOWN TO SEALS AND HARDWARE. EVERYTHING YOU NEED IS IN ONE BOX. NO MORE CALLING AROUND LOOKING FOR THE RIGHT INSTALLATION KITS OR GASKETS PACKAGES. '

Here is a link to the listing, with some pics, maybe someone can tell me more about this.. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/MOPAR...Q5fAccessories
Is this what I need to rebuild my trany myself, what if my gears are stripped? will this have everything, or do I need to just try to get one already rebuilt?

I am hoping the gears are all ok, and it's just the bands that are screwed up.. but I wont know till I tear it open... I just like to get as much info as I can before I get started.. I don't like surprises...

yeah, this says it's genuine MOPAR parts, so that would lead me to believe it's not china products.. but keep in mind, much of waht you get on all cars and trucks are made in China.. unless you buy Honda, then most is made here in Ohio.. go figure...

ALthough the Honda Fit is a chinese made car, regardless of what the anti china folks try to say..

I know, I work closely with some of the people in Honda that know..

This kit looks like seals and clutches only. If your gears are screwed up you are on your own. It does not show any bearings or gears in it and I did not see a pan gasket listed either.

the link above is to Steve White Motors, who is a legitimate Dodge dealer in north carolina. he sells autos and parts on ebay.

+1 on ask MonteC and/or Rabbler.

Monte often bad mouths the original factory mopar transmission component parts. i don't know what he thinks about mopar service parts. we'll find out soon....

He doesn't like them because those are the parts that are part of the problem with the trans to begin with.

Wow... they have a lot of nice parts for nice prices.

My trans is acting up too. I'm also considering rebuilding it myself.

Not to thread jack but my trans works fine until it warms up then I only have 1st and reverse... anything special I should check before tearing it out. (I just did a fluid / filter change and adjusted the bands but it did not fix the problem... yes I used ATF +4 also)
