Default 1997 3500 will not start

I have a 3500 360 auto 4x4. It had stalled out on me and would not start. Fuel pump was not running so I replaced. Fuel pump was not the problem. Now starting but stalling when put in gear. Changed crank sensor but still stalled. Cam sensor has been changed when i did the distributor also coil changed. now doesn't start at all. Comp scanner cannot connect to ecm. what to do now? Any help would be appreciated. Also for the past 4 or so years it has bucked and farted on intermitant basis. no one could seem to find the problem since it never did it when brought to dealership.

Do you here the fuel pump running when you turn the key to on position. If so get a gauge and check the pressure. Should be 49lbs.

I believe I found the problem. A wire going to the tranfer case was hanging on the front drive shaft and wore down to bare wire. Taped it up, zipped tied it a way from anything now truck starts and drives. Hopefully it is not just coincidence. Have not taken it for a raod trip yet just around my garage. I think it was grounding out causing the problem. here is to hoping. Thanks for the help.

I've seen 2 ASD relays fail on Dodge 2500s in the past couple of months. They click like they're working but voltage output is low. ( Runs fuel pump, computer power and coil.) Try a Napa one to see if it fixes it but get a mopar one to keep it running. Napa one in the glove box for emergency. Good luck. Hope this helps
