I was having the one having probs with trowing a code when I had it installed. A/F mixture changes I'm sure, which effected the CC post o2 sensor. Since then I have found out that certain Magna-Flow cats don't have the right amount of precious metals in them which is causing the CEL to come on. I can't remember where I read it, but, I have called JEG's where I bought it and the tech confirmed that there is a prob with a certain series magna flow cat.

I just checked out K&N website but I couldn't find the prefilter that you describe. I saw a Precharger Filter Wraps, is that what you mean?? Got any pics???

Thanks

Ya, that;s what I have. There is also a thick foam style one that I have also seen. I think it might be even better for heavy mud and water then the precharger type, but I have used it without much issue.

You read that from ME, punk!

The 94xxx series was not meant to deal with the types of emission that ethanol was causing. the 99xxx series magnaflow cats are the replacements that contain more precious metal surface area. If you have the CEL problem (P0420) call the person you bought the magnaflow from and you should only need to pay the upgrade charge for the 99xxx.
