Wider Rim
Good looking wheels. I want to say that factory backspacing is 5 inches. So those
wheels should push the tires a half inch out.
Can anybody verify this?
By the way, what are you going to do with your factory rims? I'm not far from Maine and
would pick them up from you if you don't want them anymore.
I just read that the offroad rim had a 5 9/16 backspacing, but I don't know how true that is.......

I haven't decided yet what I want to do with the Offroad wheels. I like those wheels a lot. I may run them in the winter to protect the nice wheels. But if I did sell them, I will most assuredly inform the forum about it. I think I'm going to go with the Moto wheels. I think the chrome will really throw a final touch to the truck.
No, it's not the shipping, it's the multitude of bad experiences I've read (and experienced for a gear install) from their shop. They hosed a perfectly good set of Yukon gears I purchased and then refused to replace them as I had purchased them from a secondary source.
As soon as I drove away after the initial install I noticed the whine and turned right back around. They told me it just needed to "break in". I said "BS". They said, "we'll check the pattern again." I said OK, but if the pattern isn't spot on, the gears are hosed anyway.
After an hour the manager then came out and started by telling me that "all aftermarket gears whine a bit." I asked him about his gears, no reply. He told me that he personally checked the gear pattern himself and it was great, "perfect" and that the guys were just now refilling the diff case and pulling it down off the rack. I asked him to put it back on the rack and repaint the gears and let me have a look at the pattern, he said I couldn't go back into the shop as his insurance wouldn't permit it. I left, it whined (I think even worse this time), I turned back around.
Manager said it had to be a bad set of gears. I left and have never been back. When I finally saved up enough to have it done again, (correctly, and somewhere else) I took a look at the old gearset. The wear pattern was crap, total bogus install. I will never support them again, in any fashion.
This was not an isolated incident at a specific store (the Coppell, TX store FYI). Google 4wheelparts reviews or complaints and see what all comes up. There's really some crappy work going on in their shops on a whole.

No, he said the install was $hit. They are a vendor and a shop. They are like a JEGS store with a install shop.
Well, I wouldn't be having them install anything for me. I just would like to buy the wheels from them, and then have VIP install the new wheels when they do the balance and rotation on my tires.
I have read several horror stories about that place.
There is a guy on Pavementsucks.com who is trying to sell his brand new tires he just bought from them because they sent the wrong size. And they told him they wont take them back without a restocking fee AND that he would have to pay shipping. Fawk that.
Go elsewhere for the wheels.

35x12.5 Mickey Thompson radial MTZ's (I think for a 15" rim, I will check). He ordered the same kind of tire but a 33.
He wants $800.
