Doing what makes me happy.
Stand your ground. If they tell you to take off your lift, notify your lawyer. They can't do tell you what to do. Its your truck. You just tel them its your truck and you can do whatever the **** you want to do to it.
Anyways if you put 35s back on and something happens to the tranny(during the warranty peroid), they must prove to you(and lawyer) how the 35s caused the damage to the tranny. From what I hear, this sounds like the aftermarket parts and warranty(wait, THIS is that!! lol) thing. Like how a K&N will void your warranty(By law it wont) and the dealer wont fix a bad fuel pump(under warranty) because you have a K&N filter.
I live in South Portland, Maine.
No, I took the lift off because they were implying it was my over sized tires. I continued to contest that it was simply their unit, and not my big tires. Finally after 4 months of going back and forth, I had enough. I was tired of them using my lift and tires as an excuse for their poorly shifting transmission. What better way to put my money where my mouth is than to put the stock tires on and take the lift off. Perhaps the ball ended there though. Maybe my point has already been made that it was a bad unit. Having the 285s served as great evidence that their unit was messed up. Had I walked into the lawyers office with the truck having 35" tires, my credibility wouldn't have been very high.
Now that I have a unit that works, does the gig need to stay true? Do I still have to tend to my end of the bargain, or has that past? These are the questions that stop me from completely overhauling my truck again.

one, im wondering whats so bad about 285's??? They are the premier pre-runner size, and I dont think they look half bad on my rig, actually I quite enjoy them haha, second, if it is bothering you that much, wait it out for just a little bit, make it worth it, do some research and find a tire you truly love, and buy it a few months down the line, you will appreciate a lot more if you wait a little then get it instead of just rushing into it.
After the debacle with the transmission, If I was your father and saw you come home with a lift and bigger tires, I would throw your azz out of the house! Come back down to earth and get real dude!!!!!! My God, someone is freakin' spoiled if you ask me.Nuff said and good luck brotha.
