Yeah, you can definitely mount it in the door, I just liked the look of mine
just make sure you watch out for the window tracks and keep the wires out of the way of the window also, because it can break wires sometimes. Can you open up the top of the crossover? If you can you should be able to adjust the tweeter on that, I dont know if yours will do it like mine though... if not then I would suggest tuning your amp correctly when you get it.
If you have the patience for it, definitely run new wires, a little larger than the 22 gauge wires that come stock, get like 18 or 16. Much more clarity.

alright...the crossover doesnt open up, are you mounting yours with doublesided tape?
where all does the wires run up under the dash,, seems like it would be a major pain....
is there anyway to increase my reception? i got a shorty ant. but that didnt really change it much over stock, so thats not the prob

actually if you can get a fatter antenna, it really doesnt matter if its a shorty or not. the thicker the actual antenna is the better reception you can get, and actually a shorter antenna is better, but you want to make sure its no the rubber around the ant. that is thicker, but the actual ant. itself.
I actually drilled my crossovers on, if you can keep them from moving and not jostling around there is less chance of throwing a wire out, but inside your door you will want to use double sided tape. And you can look up the wiring on these dodges on certain sites... I cant remember the names of any of them though...
And thats a little sad that your crossover doesnt have the ability of setting the level of the tweeter, but it isnt all that big of a deal, just find someone who knows amps really well and get them to tune it for you.

Thats not a bad idea, make sure those are in there good and solid, torque the screws down good and tight and you should have some good sound. I have a neighbor whos screws on his speaker got loose and because the actual speaker got to rattling where it was at it ended up blowing his $400 focal(i think if I remember correctly) speaker, the kevlar ones, so if it can happen to that one then it can happen to any, good luck, let us know what you think of it! wish i could hear it!
Did you get a wiring kit for your amp yet? So that you can hook that up?
I like those speaker adapters you made they look good.
As for the crossovers. I mounted one behind my kick panel on my passenger side. On the drivers side I don't think I could get it in there or something how I wanted so I mounted it under the dash on the drivers side. I used zip ties to mount mine. Work great for stuff like that as long as it's hidden.

you can see that i used the little metal clips that came with the speakers for my screws, glad it came with them.......you can come hear em, im only in arkansas
thatd be a good roadtrip and you can tune it for me...........no, i havent got a wirin kit yet, my amp is supposed to be in tomorrow or friday and im gonna see what it comes with........i think im gonna place my crossovers between the panel and the padding on the back of it and hotglue them in there.........dont know when im gonna be able to get all of this done, gonna be workin on my exhaust this weekend

Lesson learned (for those who haven't seen the other thread): DO NOT CUT THE PLASTIC SURROUNDING THE SPEAKER THAT IS GLUED TO THE DOOR.
I was replacing my mirror on my passenger side, and I dropped a screw into the interior frame. The only way to get to it was to cut the plastic. Well, in doing so, I put the panel back on and now it sounds like I have a blown speaker....the plastic is vibrating when bass hits. So, now to fix it with duct tape...or something else.
Apparently it seals the interior skin making the speaker more effective....
