Oil mod?
Ive seen this done on a few late 60's and early 70's mustangs, people are running there engines with the valve covers off a not spewing oil all over the place.(running as in idol or rev) Is there a way that this can be done with our rams? I think is called a short oil mod or something.
Are you talking about something like these, so you can adjust clearance without oil spewing all over? http://www.tool-home.com/products/ca...oducts_id=7128
its a racing thing. It allows drivers/crew members to make adjustments with out having to take the covers on and off all the time.
I dont know if its doable or not, but I would think that it is possible.

wtf... These trucks don't need that amount of fine tuning that a race car needs! You don't take a race car off road.. so why would you even consider taking these trucks to the track?... it's a 4x4.. they're slow, heavy, and have ****ty handling! If you want to run around with the covers off.. get a race car.. not a 4x4
I never said i would run w/o valve covers. The purpose of this question was to check rockers and rods while engine was running, and im sure Rm_indy would disagree with what Iwhite says about racing our rams. My truck is not an off road ram, it is a drag racing ram. I race it , not mudd in it.
You guys took my question competely wrong.
