so let me tell you about this little upgrade my tranny guy told me.. theres a check valve.. going right into the radiator on the 2nd gen dodges.. basically what happened with mine is it clogged up.. this can happen from just a hunk of grease or oil or whatever.. anyway this check valve allows fluid into the radiator to cool the tranny down.. if you pull this check valve off and replace with a $3 piece of hose.. your good to go. this allows fluid to always circulate through the radiaor and be cooled.. without the possiblility of being clogged.. seems to be working on mine.. esp since i fried a new tranny within 200 miles cuz of that check valve.. it over heated the tranny and fried everything. havent had a problem since, and i have about 1500 miles on the new tranny, and it shifts and my gauge shows that my tranny temp is in the norm at all time. just food for thought.

As far as dodge rust issues goes:
My truck is showing some decent rust, but if you take into account the facts, I think if I drove a Ford or Chevy it would be pretty much the same.
Conditions:
10 yrs old
Michigan weather
Winter Snow/Salt
Lots of dirt roads
On a side note, my wife drives a 2000 Explorer (I tried to talk her out of it) and she has had it for 4 years and I am about to drop the 3rd set of ball joints in it. She drives it pretty lightly and they still blow out.

Each brand has its own problems. It's just personal preference. It's stupid how people stand there and make idiots out of themselves trying to defend what they drive. To me drive what ya want, its just that simple. You don't need excuses for driving a Dodge, Ford, or Chevy. If it's what you want then drive it. I personally have been a Dodge guys since I was 7. I just don't particularly care for Ford's or Chevy's.
As listed above... Dodge has weak tranny's. Chevy's are lego's... fall apart all the time and retarded kids can put them together. Ford - F*g's Only Real Dream. Each brand has problems it's that simple.
