Default How was your day?

So today im headed to work, cruisin along doin 35, and I'm following a Ch*vy 2500 Duramax Diesel HD. Well, long story short, i found out when the light changed, my brakes, and 600 pounds in the bed, were no match for his brakes and an empty bed. So, now i get to pay for his rear bumper, which had 2 dents in it, the 1st of the dents is maybe 4 inches wide, and an inch and a half tall, the 2nd is a lil bigger than a 50 cent piece. His bumper was chrome, so you cant see any scratches, so really he got off pretty easy. But, my front bumper got the brunt of it, part of it bein his hitch pushed in the center of the bumper, bent the license plate, and tilited the entire bumper back.
So ya, how was everyone elses day?

Yeah... the dodges front ends seem to crumple pretty easily its kinda sad. My day was really barely probably not even really any better... I got a ticket for having no seatbelt on, but the only problem is, I did have my seatbelt on. I had my grey columbia jacket on that matched my seatbelt really well(which I learned I probably shouldnt wear while driving anymore) and so the cop didnt see the belt, so I pointed that out to him, so he said, well I also saw it hanging behind you?!?! no way, he was a motorcycle cop, on the move, I am in a tall truck... and their is no way he could have seen that even if he was right, also, the way our seatbelts are in the seat, alot of what the cops look for is the seatbelt between the seat and the side panel behind the window, but ours dont have that, so when he said that, I was like thats not even possible, because the seatbelt comes out of my seat and if it was off would be completely hidden between my shoulder, especially since I sit up straight in my seat and Im a tall guy... So Im a little pissed off about that, a $90 base fine ticket for doing nothing. It kind of sucks that my first ever ticket I wasnt even doing anything wrong. bullsh** if you ask me.

Oh yeah, to add to that, my headlight switch just went out on me tonight on the way back from work. I work 45 miles north of home. so my headlights would work, then not work, then work again, then not work, so I got to stop and go all the way home down the freeway!!! gahhh!!!

Ya, my headlight switch did the same thing to me a couple weeks ago, the wires on the back had melted, so we pulled into the nearest autozone, bought a little bit of wire, and a toggle switch, and fixed it on the spot lol. And I agree on the seatbelt thing, plus, why is it even there business if we wear a seatbelts or not? But, on top of havin to pay for the trucks to be fixed, i have to go to court, and i will automatically lose my license for x amount of days, because im under 17.

I would fight that ticket all the way. There's no way he can prove you weren't wearing it. Pisses me off when cops think they're omniscient. I can understand the liberal gov making us carry insurance to protect other people, but if I want to take a risk on myself, I should have the right to do so. Welcome to United Socialist America.

He's 16 so he should have it on, like the law requires here in NH. But now they are trying to pass the law for everyone. So much for live free or die ! LOL It's just another excuse for collecting more revenue, and a reason to pull you over to see if your DUI. Or have drugs or whatever.

Yea, I've been in the same boat about seat belt. Twice I was pulled over for "supposedly not haveing my seat belt on". I swear the Sheriff and the Local officer are blind. I had the same "BROWN" shirt on and the same "GRAY" seat belt. How they couldn't see that was just beyond me. I got into an argument with the local officer about it cause he tried to use the "I got it on video, do you want to go back to the car and review it with me?" and I said yes, cause I know I was wearing my seatbelt. He than changed his attitude and let me go with a "warning". I wanted to tell him to shove the "Warning" up his you know what. The sheriff, was alittle easier going and understanding. He obviously knew he was lieing and gave in right away when I told him I was wearing it. He let me go with no other problems. These two incidents were only a week apart.

They can't see because they are too busy adjusting their Black Iridium Lens Oakley sunglasses so they look cool! LOL. On the other hand, I own 5 different pairs myself.

Yeah, this officer wasnt letting me off for anything, he was just being a *****. And yeah, I have some of the oakly blue polarized lenses I love 'em, but maybe stupid cops shouldnt wear them if they are going to try and see if someone has a seatbelt on or not. I mean I understand that maybe he questioned it and pulled me over, but as soon as he saw and understood the situation I would have thought he would have let it pass, he should have. As soon as I get it reversed in court Im going to send in a written complaint to the police station because I have to miss 3 hours of work so that I can get this thing taken care of just because that cop was an ignorant pile of dung.

fyi...im not 16 haha, Im 19...
