#3815, and no , I personally don't think you'll get better MPG's ,but you will notice a difference in power for sure.

I was extremely dissapointed when I tried the superchip out. Last august I had a shop order the flashpaq and program my truck with it. Supposedly it was rated for something like 48 h/p and 59 lbs. of torque. Anyways, after we programmed the truck, I took it out and gave it hell a couple of times to test it out, and I was shocked how little of a difference it made. All it did was make my engine ping at full throttle. I did notice it allowed the truck to rev up a little quicker, but nothing like the ratings it boasts about. I gladly asked for my $350 back and got my *** out of there. As most will tell you here, invest in a SCT Tuner. About double the cost of a superchip, but it's actually supposed to work.

I don't think it's worth 330 dollars. But on the other hand, I don't think the SCT is worth twice as much either. But from what I see on this forum, the SCT is by far superior.

What tune did you try it on? And no way can you put the tune in and drive it for 5 miles and see what it can do.

No offense Neon, but he's right. We told you this after you had done it too.

I noticed a MPG increase. Winters were anywhere from just under 10 MPG to 11 MPG. With the economy tune (87 octane), I noticed a consistent 0.5 MPG improvement, and thats with me giving it more throttle and being more, shall we say... spirited? I never got under 10 MPG.

However, driving like a bat out of h*ll, I've only gotten less than 11 MPG once since I switched to the performance tune.

Solved 99% of my pinging from that tune with 3923 Autolite plugs. I only sometimes get pinging now under full throttle at highway speed. I'm pretty sure thats caused by my slightly leaky plenum gasket, which is scheduled to be fixed sometime after my tax refund comes in here in a couple weeks.

I run the SC on the performance setting as I did with the Hypertech PPIII before any of the mods I have done except for the exhaust. I never had any pinging problem and have not even tried either programmer on any other tune besides performance setting.

Spend $350 and get a B&G premium flash...unless you want to go mod crazy, then save up for a SCT. The downside is that the B&G is permanent, so you can't set it back to stock.
