so many of us have had a problem with brake dust on the front tires... well ive just had a perfect solution get a piece of plastic cut to inside of rim size or just below and drill 5 holes near the center, slap it on and were good to go.

... or just get ceramic pads and don't worry about it.

i never have ever had any break dust on my rims or tires. i never had ceramic pads until i put them on both my trucks. Ive seen many fords with an extreme amount of break dust on the front. But never a DODGE

I can't see the break dust on my rim, cuz theres mud covering it up

I use ceramic pads - no dust. I think ceramic is a better solution because what you described could actually prevent cooling air from getting to your rotors.

I have always been told that the ceramic pads were crap, overly expensive and dont make enough of a difference that the normal ones.

Kinda like K&N Airfilters.
