Replaced my Belly pan this weekend! =)
Howdy All,
Well this weekend I did my Plenum Belly Pan. and thermostat... I haven't run all the higher octane gas out yet, so we will know for sure soon if It quits pinging. So far it has stopped completely.
So far no leaks of any kind, and my oil has no coolant in in!
Heres my motor taken apart

I sure did! The Houghes pan fits really great. This was a good oppertunity to clean stuff and all that. Plus the 180 degree thermostat sounds like it will help me out quite a bit.
Sorry, I didn't take any more pictures... my hands were so greasy the whole time. I just got a new phone... lol

Thanks man,
I don't think I could have done it (not nearly as informed anyway) without this forum. All of you guys are extreemly helpful/Knoladgeable.
I have driven it like 20 miles sense, tomorrow morning Im gonna do an oil change and Coolant change in case theres any Debris of some kind. I just put water in it yesterday so I can flush it out. I wish I had one of thoughs machines that actually replaces it while its running. that would be the best...
any other thoughts?

for the most effective coolant flush, try to remove the block drain plugs that hide behind the engine mounts. one on each side. mine were very tight, hard to remove, tried to round off, etc. i clamped on a pair of vice grips to get them to break loose. if you do remove them, use some rtv or teflon when you reinstall and don't overtighten them.
