This is what I have. I paid $160 shipped for mine on here a little over a year ago. Do I like it? Yes it's okay. I think it was worth the $160 but I wouldn't pay anymore than that.
Did I notice a power difference? Not really. If I did it was a very very slight one.
It did however let me adjust for the tire size. I will say though when I put it on 33" tires it was still off. I had to fiddle with it putting different size tires until I got it right. I tested it with my GPS and with the police setup speed things that tell you your speed. I finally figured out with my tires a 32.25" tire I think is what I have it set for and the speedometer is dead on. This is the biggest reason I like it.
Doesn't change shift points but none I'm aware of do.
You can however change the rev limiter up to I think it's 500 rpm in either direction. It goes in 100 rpm changes. I think I raised mine 100rpm just to see if it made a difference.
You can raise your top speed limiter from 115 I think to like 126 or something. I can't remember what it is. It doesn't do away with the limiter but you can raise it slightly.
It's cool to play with but don't expect much if anymore power. I just like it to have my speedo right.
If you want power the SCT is the only way I'd even consider going. It's great from what I've read but I've never used it. However, I don't like that it can't calibrate your speedo or do anything like that. That's the beauty of a programmer to me.

Do they make a Mopar Performance PCM? Not sure if they do but if they do I'd think that would probably be one of the few if not your only option.

heres the mopar pcm for a 5.9

what would happen if you put one in a 5.2?
the ones for 5.2s are $50 more!?!?

Like I said, I'm not looking to buy a programmer for performance gains. I don't throttle up the truck anymore. I want it just to recalibrate my speedometer with the bigger tires. Does it offer a higher octane setting? I've always used high octane, it'd be nice to have the computer knowing I'm doing so. And whatever little performance it will offer, I will take since it's not what I'm looking for to begin with.

The Superchips 3815 is the best bang for your buck, IMHO, and the best option for you, Neon.
If you were to get serious about upgrades/stroker/supercharger/etc./etc. (like you said you weren't a while ago), the SCT would be better in the long run.
The SCT does not (yet) do tire size/speedo calibration, although they claim they are working on it.
The SC 3815 is the best "canned" tune, if you want to call it that. It does tire/speedo calibration. Thats how I found that I had my speedo set for 245 size tires, despite my truck coming from the factory with 265s.
It has three tunes (with a fourth optional tune available for free download):
1. Performance (91 octane)
2. Towing (91 octane)
3. Economy (87 octane)
4. Mileage XS (87 octane) (optional)
The Mileage XS tune used to be only available on the Mileage XS tuner, but now they are slowly phasing it out, it seems. They are working on a software upgrade to, for a fee, turn all Mileage XS tuners into Flashpaq 3815 equivalent tuners.
I admit I haven't tried the towing or Mileage XS tunes yet, but I ran the economy tune for a bit, only about 0.5-1.0 MPG difference over stock. With the performance tune, I haven't been able to get below 10.5 MPG, even with crappy winter gas and lots of 4WD use in town. I used to get 9 MPG in town with 4WD use with stock programming. And talk about power increase, its night and day.
Do not use ethanol blended fuel with the 91 octane settings. Makes me ping like crazy. Stupid Shell stations in town decided to make their 92 octane tanks have 10% ethanol now. Good bye Shell, hello BP.
