Default Negative Camber Problem..?

Hello,i brought my truck in for a alignment the other day when i returned to pick it up they said i had alot of negative camber causing the tires to slant in towards the truck, they said if i wanted to get the camber correct i had to buy (camber) adjustable ball joints, but they want $320.00 for the parts and $420.00 for the labour, why is my camber off? I do have a 2.5 inch levelling kit and 285/75/16 tires is the extra height in the front causing the negative camber? Will this affect your ride at all either...your advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thankyou

Is it a 4x4 or 4x2? The leveling kit kicked off your geometry.

A leveling kit won't affect 4x4 alignment ... well ... maybe caster ... by a hair.

Camber can be adjusted on a 4x2 , so it's a 4x4. When a 4x4 has neg. camber there is a problem with the axle. The tubes can be bent, or the mounts where the steering knuckle connects to the axle (where the BJ's go)have collapsed. (The top one is bent inwards). This is usually from some major abuse. It is a known problem, which is why they make the adjustable joints.

That's because the guy dropped the front end off the car carrier 4ft.

I KNEW that guy was a dick.

Maybe this is why the truck corners so well.

Man ... you just came up with a COOL concept ... a towing race at Daytona. 43 (real) trucks with a camper on the tail.

HAHAHA, Dodge didn't advertise the F-1 model, just look for an FT in your VIN#. It was an upgrade for the elite.
