Coil Spacer Install
Probably. If you don't need new shocks with the coil spacers you wont for the coil springs. However, are your shocks for a stock Ram? If so going up that high with coil springs or spacers would be pushing it on them but could probably be done. It would probably wear the shocks out quickly though.
I always thought it didn't matter what size shock you had if you did a spacer since it stacked up on top of it anyways?
So if I'm understanding correctly; wouldn't a 3" coilspring cause less stress on the shock than a 2" spacer (total 3.5" up front)?
If I can run the coilspring with my existing shock I will buy the coilspring today. I called topguncustomz, and he was like, " Oh man, I wouldn't run a 3" coilspring on that offroad suspension, you're going to be like 4.5" up in the air guy, and your going to need a whole bunch of new parts to do that." If I went with a 3" coilspring, it's going to be 3". In other words, the equivalence of putting a 1.5" spacer up front.

Nope the spacer goes onto of the coil spring but not on top of the shock so you still need longer shocks that go through it.
He was wrong though. The lift from the offroad rams is from the coil springs so if you replace the coil springs you lose the lift from the offroad package so basically a 3" coil spring would lift you 1.5" higher than you are now or so.
As for shocks not sure that I'd run stock shocks on a truck lifted like that but people have done it. It just usually fully extends them or close to it.

I guess I'm just confused as to why nobody brought up I'd need longer shocks for the spacer; but for the coil spring it's brought up more? I guess I'm definitely going with the coil spring now. I thought the spacer didn't have anything to do with the stock shocks, so to me, there is no value in doing the spacer at this point. If they wear out quicker, I will purchase new shocks; but I'd really like to get more use out of these new shocks before I go replacing them so quickly.

Yep.
Either way you go, you will more than likely need new shocks (if the replacement shocks were for a regular ram with no lift). All you can do is run it and see, but you don't want to be using the shocks as limiting straps... it will tear them up quickly. When I put the springs on my truck, the stock shocks topped out with about 2" more of up-travel. I could feel them top out while just hitting a bump driving down the road.
Awesome, I just ordered the springs from topguncustomz, and they should be here next week. I'm not sure to be honest what my shocks are. I remembered ordering them last summer when I had the lift taken off. I think they could be a 2-3" shock, not completely sure though. I guess I'll find out when I install the springs how much travel they have. What's a sufficient amount of travel for them to be ok?
Right on. They should be here next week; so hopefully my brother will finish doing his shackle reverse kit on his truck so I can take the driveway over for a day lol. I'm pumped to finally have ordered the leveling kit. I figure that if the rear end looks saggy after the level, I'll install an AAL in the rear, but I'll start by doing the coil springs first.
dude seriously, your not going to buy a skyjacker because of the color??? you do know that you can paint them right?
anyways I see you got the top guns ones, please let me know what you feel about them, I have been thinking of ordering them from myself. also you will probably add about 2~2.5 inches until the new springs settle in... trust me over time your stock springs have probably lost about an inch (hard to say not knowing the miles or type of terrain you drive on.)
