Transmission question

Default Transmission question

I have a 5.9 98 1500 and when i gun it going onto the highway keeping it gunned it switches into 4th from 3rd doing about 130kmh at that time and stays in 4th for about 20 sec and then switches back to 3rd Is my tranny going or am I pushing her a bit to hard and should let of the gas a bit .. i havent modded my truck that much. anyone have this happen and then had to replace there tranny I got 250 000 km +

nope srry i dont even know what that is. I had probs with my plugs a piece of ceramic broke off..

Your gonna have to do the Kph to MPH conversion when you write your threads but all in all, it sounds okay. mine does that to. Definitely adjust you TV cable!!!

then learn this, jacking with that cable too much will royally screw with your shift points.

You should have no reason to adjust more that 1/4" either way MAXIMUM. Mark your starting point carefully.

Cool Yeah I havt done it yet I have been just taking it easy on my baby, I think I will only do BAD by adjusting it But at least now I know how to do it if it get any worse Thanks for the info and i will deff Use caution when i adjust it
