Smile Second Opinion is well worth it.

The other week I had an oil change and the guy said my drivers side tie-rod end was loose...ok....so today I actually had a minute to spare and darted into see the mechanic....he also checked the wheel bearing(hand on top and bottom and wiggle)...it was loose...I got a repair estimate....and began to cry...I told a friend of mine about it and he wanted to have a look...he found two of the bolts that hold the bearing together were backed off....we tightened them up and all is good....Saved me a **** load of cash...

"pay" because you have so much money that you need to spend it
OR
"pay" because you don't want to lay under the truck and do it yourself?

I think you mean the second line. right?

It's probably not the oil changing part that he'd rather pay for but the lube part. Everytime I grease my truck I end up with that **** on me somehow. No matter how careful I am. Pisses me off.

Tell me about it, thats what I do for a living. I'm almost ready to start taking my truck in, but nobody will put the 1515 Napa gold filter for the V10 that I run...
