Are you fellas insinuating that size matters?

+1 on buying the correct depth pan...and I believe that cooler design and size has more to do with reducing heat than pan capacity.

No, my trans cooler dropped my temps by about 25-30 degrees. The pan was installed later, and dropped the temps that little bit more.

What did that pan cost you all said and done? Did it come with a new gasket?

My pan ran $275 and took 11 quarts to refill. Keep in mind that I removed the check valve from the system so I'm pretty sure both the aux cooler and radiator heat exchange probably drained out over night as I pulled the VB to do some work on it. I think the check valve probably kept the aux cooler from woRking as effciently as it currently does, and a pusher and puller e fan probably helps too.

I just bought a PML Deep trans pan, +2 quarts, and machined for sensor, and has a magnetic drain plug. I only payed 233. free shipping. www.moesperfromance.com

I also at this time bought a gauge pillar , and two digital temp gauges with blue leds , one for water , and one for temp.
