try resetting the pcm. it might be throwing a code because of the possible increased air flow and the pcm is having hard time adjusting everything? idk could be wrong, just throwing it out there

+1, try resetting the PCM. See if the code comes back. After an upgrade or modification like that, usually its a good idea to reset the computer so it can start from scratch and relearn how to use the increased air flow.

P1494 is a code for "Leak Detection Pump or System". Basically, the computer thinks something is wrong with the fuel tank, fuel lines, carbon canister, gas cap, vacuum lines, or fuel pump/filter.

Did you remove any hoses in there and not reattach them?

Why did you remove them to do the air cleaner? Remove them again and make sure there is no broken contacts inside the plugs or the sensors themselves. And that the wires going into the plugs are not loose or broken off the contacts inside the plug.

When you put the air cleaner back on, did you leave that ring (gasket) on? It goes between the air cleaner assembly and the TB, helps make a nice seal.

tighten up your gas cap.

you can run a thin film of motor oil on the rubber seal to get a better seal.
