Check Gages light???
My dash just started showing me this the past few days. Will ding on and back off every few minutes. All my guages look fine. What should I do? Did the key diagnostic and it came up saying "P none." Thanks Eric
I'm assuming you have the digital odometer as you checked for codes. In order to test the cluster, do this:
1. With the ignition off, press and hold the trip meter button.
2. Turn on the ignition w/o starting the engine, still holding the button.
3. The odometer will display "chec" -- at this point release the button.
4. The cluster will run through a self test. Watch it for any lights that don't light or gauges that are acting funny.
Good luck!

Welcome to the forum Eric.
+1 for ophidia's suggestion. Also, it'd be helpful if you put a short description of your truck (model year, 4x4 or 4x2, engine size, transmission, and/or etc.) in your signature so that we can be more helpful to you in the future.

flashing cel is an indication of misfire occuring. crank position sensor is seeing one or more cylinders producing less power than the others.
first things to check are plugs, wire, cap, rotor.

Pop off the trim bezel, pull out the cluster as far as you can get w/ the shift cable attached, and disconnect/reconnect the electrical connectors. Put it back together, disconnect the negative battery cable, turn the key to start and hold it there for 15 seconds. Reconnect the battery cable, fire it up, and see if it recurs. Turn the key to on for about 15 seconds before trying to start it or it will probably die right away and need to be restarted (the ECU puts the IAC through it's paces on the first startup after disconnecting the battery.)
That's what I'd do, anyway.
