very true
i gots the 3.55s, they work fine for me
even towing, i had approx. 10,000 hooked to er today, she towed just fine
until i hit a hill, with a 10,000 lb anhydrous wagon which is limited to 30 mph, i was doing a whole 15 by the top of it, and i blame that on my transmission
and thats what i want! im going to see about ordering these as soon as possible. then i just have to worry about a place for the install, i know one place told me 400-500 for both axles BUT its more than an hour away from here and i wont have a ride back home if i dropped my truck off and id say it will take more than a day. everywhere else around here closer dont do gears often (if at all) and i have to worry about quality and the price, i got quote 1200 just for the install which is too much for me considering ive been quoted 400-500 by a real 4X4 shop
My truck has 4.56 gears and it rides about 75 at 2000 rpms and I have to be careful not to spin the wheels when starting out..... but of course I'm not Also tows really well.... I really did have 20,000lbs behind my V10
Don't you dare use 4wheelparts if that's what you're planning on.
no ill order the parts from either randys R&P, or DTS and then have one of two local shops (sunfire offroad or POR4X4) depending on the price sunfire told me $500 for both axles but its an hour drive from here and the other shop is literally 3 minutes down the road but i havent gotten a price quote yet
