An engine that burns enough oil can contaminate the O2 sensor and eventually the catalytic converter.

+1, that's how a blown plenum does in the cat.

I don't have to worry about the cat it dosne't exhist anymore. Although I guess I could cut it open and see whats inside. That might shed some light on the problems I'm having

Check the plenum anyway just to eliminate it as a prob, http://dodgeram.info/tsb/2000/09-05-00.htm

checked double checked and checked again. Im 95% sure that it is not the plenum. When I first bought this truck it was using oil. I assumed like most that it was the Plenum. After I replace the belly pan and gasket the oil consumption didn't change. I looked down there today and everything is clean.

I did do the compresion test. Everything came out good and I'm pretty sure of what the problem is.

1 =140 5 = 149
2 = 135 6 = 150
3 = 139 7 = 145
4 = 144 8 = 150

Number two and number 3 are a little low but I'm pretty sure I just didn't let the motor spin enough times. Here is the interesting thing that I found. I started at #1 wich was the front passenger side cylinder. When I got to 6 I pulled the plug and it was dripping oil. The compresions fine so it's either the plenum or the valve stem seal. Either way I'm going to do both. Here is what is making me scratch my head. I'm sure that leak has been there since I bought the truck. So why am I having the problem now? Is it because the original O2 sensors could handle the oil in the exhaust and the new ones can't? I think the originals might have been a little farther out of the exhaust stream. The other thing is why have I not had a fouled plug. I am running mobil 1 but I wouldn't think that would matter.

You have a problem with your testing procedure, you need to remove all the plugs before you do the compression test. And actually you should warm the motor up first and remove the plugs as quickly as you can then perform the CT.

+1 MOtor's got to be pretty warm. you can't let the oil drain from in between the rings or you'll get low, inconsistant readings.

I thought that 150 was what you wanted to see plus these are all consitent readings.
