Yup. They gave me and the other guy having the issue "one shot" updates, updates specific for our programmers/trucks. Turns out they found an issue in the compiler (not the tune itself), so thats why it took them a while to track it down. They weren't planning on releasing a normal widespread update for several more days, so they gave us a one shot almost right away.

Engineering says that we should be able to program 1997.5 OBD 2 Ram trucks with the 5.2L or 5.9L engines.

The files may not be immediately available in the programmer you try due to your calibrations being some that we may have not seen before now but we can at least build the files for you once we get the data.

Hey Scott, What do you need to build the files? What data do you require from us to compile a programmer? What functions would be available with the programmer?

Scott, would they need the older Max Microtuner, or would they be getting a Flashpaq 3815/3865?

He told me in the PM that both will work. The only difference would be that the 3815 is internet updateable, and the microtuner would have to be sent in. Apparently they are going to have to write a tune just for our trucks.

OK. Cool. What does he need to write the program for our trucks? What do we do buy the programmer and send it in or does he email us the tune to upload to the programmer?

Depends on which tuner you buy. The flashpaq wont have to be sent in. The microtuner will. I am watching quite a few on ebay right now..... dunno know if they frown on that or not though...

As for the info, I have no clue.
