*sigh* Another Tuner Thread
Same here man. I can't see bidding on the same one only to drive up the price for no reason. Besides for what we spend in parts to keep these trucks runnin there ain't no sense in spendin a bunch on a tuner.
whats your name on there? I could be the one driving yours up as well.
I have been looking for a couple of days on there, ans havent seen a low priced one yet.... course I wasnt real sure what I needed until this afternoon.

Once you plug in the programmer will check to see if it has a program available for your PCM's specific calibration. If one exists already then your vehicle will program on the spot.
If an update is necessary then you will need to get online with the programmer and let it send your stock file to our engineer so he can take your raw data and build a file specific to your vehicle at that point.

Okay, been watching some of the tuners for awhile now, and another question has popped into my head. Are all of the SC 3815 Flashpaqs the same thing? Or do they have different cable ends on them????
I guess I need to go visit my Diesel mechanic.. Just remembered he is an SC dealer....

Just some Hypertech info, I just bought a Hypertech for my 1997 Ram 5.9 because Superchips did not list one for that year and I didn't know till now that they might have something. Any way, the 52000 Hypertech works on 1997 to 2003 Dodge 5.3/5.9L. For 1997 the only options are Reg and Prem fuel tuning, Rev limit and top speed limit. No selectable trans shift tuning is available for 1997. Just installed it, only driven 30 miles but does seem to add some power, has stronger acceleration over 50 mph than before. I primarily run propane for fuel and wanted a tuner for the timing advance. I installed the Prem fuel tune, havn't run it much on gasoline, but when I did I was able to get a little tire chirp today from a stop with a full gas tank and 300# in the bed.
Well that is good to hear, but here are two things: 1. There was no 5.3, but I think you made a typo. 2. The shifts points on these trucks are not computer controlled, so there isn't a tuner out there that will help with shifting.
Yeah, suppose to be 5.2/5.9. I don't type to well. As far as shifting your right again, but
since the tuners cover multiple years they advertise you can change shift points on some trucks. So like everything, you gotta read the find print and figure out what applies to your ride.
