Switching to a 170 amp alternator should stop all charging problems.

My stock alternator is 136 amps.

Or you could have your friendly SCT tuner up the idle RPM's.

Id rather get a better alternator, and not suffer with the worse MPGs.

will that 136 fit a v8 tho?......on bionicdodge they show you how to up your idle by tampering with your throttle body for those with OBDI....

the 136A alt was an option on earlier model years. It's a 6 groove pulley not a 7 groove like the newer years. I believe the truck has a 140A fuse as the master so it should be able to take it.
