Default Name these parts? From picture !!!

Yep picked up some parts had the codes read and says I need a trany speed sensor. Figure while I'm down there replacing the second 02 sensor in as many days. I might as well get it too, but the bolt will not back out. Spins over and over but no dice. Also there is a double connector ended cord from a part(sensor also maybe) in the trans forward from it but very near by that has a wire pulled also.

Any info, ideas or help appreciated.

Up date: So I went a head and removed the sensor housing (guess that's what it's called) still could not get it loose guess I will try and replace the whole thing. Still wondering what that unplugged/ broken connection part is and what it does. see loose wire in picture

I hear ya but I don't like unknowing besides it would simply be a double ended pig tail to fix one and two bolts and a little splicing for the other. If I just knew what parts to ask for....lol

gray with black stripe or one gray one black. also can you see where the other end of the wire comes from/what its attached to? it would make it faster to find it on the diagram since black is a common wire color

Grabs head lamp and runs out the door*....lol

OK back...

correction green with black stripe and blue with black stripe. No I did not see where its ends on the other side just that it was broke and a possible easy fix.

Thanks for any possible help.

this is my dads 98 2wd (man that things close to the ground)
your mystery wire is the one on the right. it looks like on yours that a new wire was ran and the old one was left in place (the convolute still has a part # on it). on yours its the sensor that has the wire pulled out that the wire is supposed to be connected to.

and this one is off my 2000 4x4. you can see the wire colors in this pic. (plenty of room to get under this one)

Yep that is it alright. Any idea what that sensor is? Just wanting to be able to describe the part that the broken harness is connected to so that I can so that I could easily locate its replacement. Searched for it on line using the part# in the pic, but unfortunately came up with zilch.

Speed Reference Sensor or transmission output speed sensor i believe. thats on the 46re but i think you have the 46rh, might be the same.

thats the one for my 2000 46re. you can go to the parts store and see if its the same.
