just curious, I've read all the post so I'm up to date on what's happening, but if your town is so broke that not even McDonald's won't hire anyone. Then why in the world wouldn't you have the foresight to know that you and your job ARE dispensable. Not to beat a dead horse, but your even dumber to think that a car company that is going broke themselves is gonna give you money they don't have. Everything you've said makes as much sense as putting screen doors on a submarine!!! The bright side? No more truck problems. No more expensive gas. No more insurance payments.
If you really are broke, then quit trying to figure out how your gonna build/buy your next money pit/ truck and just focus on putting money IN your pocket. Life happens! Stop trying to sue your way out of it and MAN UP! NO WONDER THE GREAT DEPRESSION AND WW2 GAVE BIRTH TO THE GREATEST GENERATION. THEY DID WHAT THEY NEEDED TO DO...NO B!TCH!ING!!!

well lets see when i bought the thing i was LIVING IN MADISON and HAD A GREAT JOB where i had already worked for 2 years and not to mention i was a lead. then they cut my department out 2 or 3 months after i bought the truck. then i moved back up here right away and got another job at a mill so i was still doing good then that mill got shut down. plus i know a lot of people are wondering why i would pay so much for itand that's because the vehicle i had was on its last leg. so i had to get something new fast and didn't have much time to look around.

I'll be very honest, you will be wasting your time trying to have any authorities look into this. I'm pretty familiar with the different agencies in that part of the state because of my company, and can say without a doubt they seem to care more about the paycheck and where the fish are biting then something like this.

You are right about the volunteer fire dept., and since they are volunteers it's hard to fault them for it.

Any thoughts on heading back to Madison or elsewhere now? With the mills shutting down up that way, really nothing else for work up there. That area seems to live and die with the mills.

well i would love to go back to madison some day. that is the best place i've ever lived, but right now it all depends on my moms health. if she gets better then ya i can move; if she gets worse then i dunno.

Well sure, most vehicles built since the 1960's have an always hot wire, generally used to keep power to clock radios ,,, And now, alarms and LED's.
Can't think of any factory layouts that would allow a shorting always hot wire to blow up a gas tank, off hand.
