Close enough, and if its shifting problem free, consider it a blessing.
Baby it as much as you can, keep up with routine maintainance ,,, And you may have 100 miles left in it, or 100,000 +.

I'm approaching 200,000 but both the tranny and motor have been rebuilt [years ago].
I'm having shifting issues, but still drivable, and the problem has improved with a few minor steps I have taken to try to fix it [short of another rebuild].

I have a few questions for you all if you don't mind. I have read most of the post on here about the band adj. fluid changes ect. I have taken all the info from them and decided to do the fluid change and adjustments my self. It is not to bad with all the great info i have read. My question is that my 1st to 2nd shift is still around 2500rpm untill the tranny warms up. After that is shifts fine. Is this normal or am I missing something. I have a 99 5.2 Durango with 220,000miles on it. The Fluid was not bad looking nor did I find any metal shavings in it. I bought this for my son and just want to do a few things to it before I give it to him. Thanks kenj66

Not sure about your problem Ken, high mileage vehicles can develop strange problems that sometimes defy logic and typical solutions.

I will say that you'd likely do better starting your own thread about it, most people don't even read these pages long threads unless they are involved in them.

With only 27 miles on a fresh rebuild, why not take it back to whoever did the rebuild and have them fix it ?
You could clear any codes yourself easily enough, by just using a cheap code reader or disconnecting that battery for a few minutes, but I doubt if thats it.
Changing the governor pressure solenoid is simple enough, and cost about $140, including the new fluid you would need ,,, But that cost & effort should be on the rebuilder.
If you had it done by a back yard mechanic with no warranty, looks like you'll have to eat the cost yourself, and hope that a new governor pressure solenoid will do the trick.

By the way, have you done the check ball valve delete yet ?
If not, I'd advise you do so - It may well be a factor, if not the cause, of your burnt up trannys.

+1 on that. Start off with the simple stuff by clearing the code and if it comes back take it to the shop to have them fix it. Have the shop remove the check valve (or at least check it if they wont remove it) to make sure it's not stuck. To have problems after only 27 miles is strange, but humans do make mistakes, that's what warranties are for.

Come on, you gonna give up that easy?! Fight the charges with your credit card company, take him to small claims, sit outside his shop with a sign that says "Bad Repair, Won't honor Warranty" I'll bet he'll fix it real quick!
