Default need engine help

ok so i have a 95 ram 1500 with a 5.9 L. i am looking for another motor to rebuild and put in. i found a motor from a 98 dakota rt with the 5.9. does anyone now if it will fit and work fine in my truck?

i think it will, but be aware that your 95 is OBD1 and the 98 is OBD2, plus your 95 probably has a EGR valve. you'll need to swap your 95 intake onto it, plus use all your other 95 sensors.

thanks. if i get the engine from a truck with OBD II what would i have to change on it. i am going to take the whole thing apart and rebuild it. so i can build up the original motor .

now to me i would go on line to my local shoppers guide and look ,or a dealership thats
getting ready to close its doors, they have to get rid of there stuff to close.

but i would buy a PAW 360 out of california
its the whole engine,just assemble,
last time i read they got very high ratings
plus in house machine shop.


summit good but getting expensive,

the last place EBAY, people are nasty and some steal,you can get burned easy.

ok i live in cali but how much do the paw 360's run im on a tight budget so i dont really want to spend to much
