new member with easy question or two
Hi to all, I've been a Ram owner for about 9 months now but just recently started going through the truck to get it in top shape. Mint truck, bought from my retired next door neighbor. He followed the servicing religiously and I'm happy to not have any problems with the truck.
I've searched but can't find this answer: How does one tighten the side mirrors? The drivers side bounces a little on the road. I tightened the screw at the bottom but didn't want to break it by going overboard..
Also, what's the difference between a Club cab and a Quad cab? Mine has the suicide doors but pics I've seen show them looking the same...
See, I told you they were easy questions! Thanks for this forum, I plan to be here often.

Yup. I think it was the 2001 model year, if I recall correctly, that the club cab wasn't even offered For 2001s, you could have a regular cab or a quad cab.

OK, inquiring minds, here goes Club cab = No Doors, Quad Cab = Doors. Mirror fix (Here comes the fun part) you have to take your door apart. The only way to fix it is to take your door panel off, take the mirror off the truck, undo the sandwich type clamp they have on there, put the bolts back and tighten them up. Tips from experience: My bolts were screwed up by the Mexican assembly line workers that put it together. The bolts on one side were were torqued down all the way, while the other side they were only half way (make sense?). I fixed it and reassembled it and thought I was done. Unfortunately it will loosen again after a few moths. Tip #2: Use lock tight. I didn't and I regret it. I will probably go back and redo it some day. Mine is not really loose, but when I assembled it I couldn't even move it (swing it in or out) since I did it so tight, now I find I can move it, therefor it's getting loose. Read through these TSBs and they will give you some insight as to what you need to do. You don't need to do any of the changes they discuss on the TSB, but it will give you good schematics as to what you are getting in to. I didn't have these when I did mine, so I had to figure it out the old fashioned way (with a lot of cussing).
